About the Job
As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for spearheading our growth initiatives by identifying and establishing partnerships, securing investment opportunities, and acquiring B2B clients within the Web3, Finance, and Law industries.
Responsibilities:
1. Run market research to identify trends, competitors, and emerging opportunities within the Web3 and RegTech spaces; provide market insights & ad-hoc reports to the Marketing & Product teams to tailor our offerings to the evolving needs of the industry and align on our messaging; help them run Customer Development and other market studies, participate in marketing & PR activities
2. Design a strategy and implementation procedures for the smooth onboarding of relevant partners, service providers, and advisors in the law, IT & security, and finance industries, as well as of B2B clients and investors, which together would propel our growth on the international Web3 and RegTech markets in line with our overall strategy & goals
3. Integrate us in the relevant societies, listings, nominations, events, and come up with other activities & partnerships with the Marketing team to boost our reputation & trustworthiness
4. Select the most cost-efficient channels for developing a robust pipeline of leads & opportunities: online & offline industry events, online communities & networking tools, personal introductions etc
5. Manage these deals end-to-end: craft documentation & offers, lead communications on behalf of the company and participate in events, conduct presentations & product demonstrations, run due diligence, and manage other tasks throughout the sales cycle to close the deal and establish lasting, mutually beneficial collaborations.
Background:
– 2-3 years of experience working in a similar role at a Crypto / Fintech / Saas startup or 5+ years of experience working directly with Regulators, Legal firms, and/or Investment funds;
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
– Great project management, communication, and presentation skills are a must.
– Direct contacts of investment funds, regulators, and legal firms primarily working in the EU, Middle-East, and South-East Asia are good to have.
– Hands-on experience in developing compelling investment proposals and supporting the fundraising process end-to-end is good to have.
– Deep understanding and hands-on experience with the blockchain and/or the Regtech products is good to have
– Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
– Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work autonomously in a fast-paced startup environment in a distributed team.
