About the Company
About Concordium We are a science-based proof-of-stake blockchain. We offer previously unseen guarantees of transparency and the ability to build regulation-compliant Web3 applications without compromising privacy. Our employees play a critical role in executing this vision with their ability to think inside and outside the box, have confidence in all they do, succeed together, and tackle challenges creatively. Concordium Foundation and its research and development department, Concordium Research, launched the Concordium blockchain in 2021. Concordium is a public layer 1, environmentally friendly, high performing, proof-of-stake blockchain with a unique Identity layer at the protocol level. Concordium differs from other blockchains by offering low transaction costs in fiat and regulator readiness by introducing built-in identity management at the protocol level, and zero-knowledge proofs, which are used to replace anonymity with perfect identifiable privacy. We believe that making ID credentials available to smart contracts, whilst preserving privacy, is key to the mass migration from web2 to web3 and beyond. Our native coin, CCD, is listed on multiple exchanges, and is used for paying transaction fees, staking, rewards for node operators, and as a collateral/settlement medium for Concordium’s DeFi landscape. The team is collaborating with the community on scaling the chain to their extensive network of the world's start-ups and biggest enterprises.
